Who can volunteer?

We welcome all adult and youth volunteers 16 years of age and older. Youth mentors under the age of 16 may particpate if accompanied by an adult volunteer. All volunteers must complete a volunteer form and waiver. All volunteers are subject to a criminal background check.

Who can partipate?

At FNF we are blessed with a diverse participant population. We welcome children (2 years and older), teens, and young adults from all backgrounds and faiths. We provide a fun and safe environment for our Friday Night Friends experiencing: developmental disabilities physical disabilities behavioral disorders We also offer respite to children in foster care.

What if my child has toileting/bathroom or medication needs?

Each event has a licenced nurse that can provide medications, including oral and injectables, as needed. Additionally, each participant who needs the restroom or toileting/hygene services will be provided that assistance. These needs can be discussed at the welcome desk on your family members first visit and at each subsequent visit as their needs change.

What kind of activities will be at the events?

Each event hosts a theme that changes each month, so be sure to check out our calendar. Every event features crafts, games, and face painting!

What can I expect on my first visit?

Each new member will sit down with a member of our nursing staff to ensure we have all needed medical information on the participant form. This will be important when providing care to your family member while they are with us. Your family member will be assigned a volunteer that will stay with them throughout the night to ensure that their needs are met and that they have an enjoyable and fulfuliing evening with their Friday Night Friends!
