FNF provides a safe, interactive environment for those with special needs in order for their caregivers to get a much needed evening off.
Are you a caregiver or family member of someone with special needs ? FNF ministry offers one Friday evening each month from September - May where you can take a well-deserved and much needed break from the continuous job of caring for your special needs family member. We welcome all children and adults with special needs as well as their siblings. Cave Spring Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA has graciously donated their facility for our use each month.
Each event is staff by loving volunteers and mentors that include:
Virginia Western Community College nursing students.
Registered Nurses that can provide much needed medication and personal needs for participants.
Youth staff from local church youth groups.
Friday Night Friends offers enriching activities like games, crafts, music, reading, sports and other special seasonal activities that are offered in a caring environment.
Each event offers different spaces that allow the participant to choose which environment is most comfortable to them. These spaces include a quiet place, games, crafts and space to run in our gym.
"FNF allows our daughter to socialize with her peers as well as adults. She enjoys the activities each month and looks forward to it with excitement! She is challenged to perform to the best of her ability in several areas, especially crafts. Our daughter is treated with respect by all the staff and volunteers; they are great with her. As parents, we appreciate FNF's catering to her special needs and allowing her such a positive experience every month!"

"Friday Night Friends Ministry has blessed our family in so many ways! Our children always look forward to the fun and excitement that you've planned. With your unconditional love and dedication, your planning and structure....our children have grown in play and the love of friendship. No matter how different one may be, you have all embraced our children like your own! You are truly our gift from God."
